I just want to add that my song had a drop as an after thought.
This notion of music only being interesting if it has a beat and a phat bass.
It doesn`t make any sense to me.

It's all good electric, I don't think you really need to explain your reasonings. Hell if it sounds good, which it did, then you did it right. Hell my only complaint was that it wasn't longer which you actually mentioned that you had planned on it being a long track, but people probably would have poo-pooed at the fact it would be like a 10 minute track. Hell, mine was originally 9 minutes long, and everything took much longer to progress in it, but then I realized that it wouldn't have been a good idea for this competition so I completely wiped my original arrangement and re-did it at the last minute. If you end up redoing it or going with your original plan I would love to hear that.

nah- I`m not specifically talking about my track.
Just trying to state my views on music.
I don`t feel bass and beat are always critical to a track.
Sometimes it seems that folks are so focused on those elements that they ignore other elements.
Music can be deep an emotional without having a beat.
