Is this and the rest of Skreams output in the last year or so an elaborate practical joke?

Or, more realistically, has he run out of original ideas and is churning out any old shit to make money?

I was kind of feeling that too, but... but listening to this songs pure kitsch, I'm kind of getting it. At least if i ever have a kid, I'm sure I will produce something this shamelessly coldplay-ish.

Still doesn't really explains what they tought of when making magnetic man, though. It seems to me, whenever artists with much underground credibility try to bring dubstep to the mainstream, it ends up horrible.

Better that Skream and Benga take it mainstream than certain others who shall remain nameless, right?

I personally think it's absolutely sick. It's a message to his unborn son. I just think that's a really respectable thing to do.

Yeah. I think it's pretty cool that he'd write a sentimental tune to his son. Music is all about expression and feeling, thus it's a nice context for this tune. Yeah it's not a dancefloor killer, but for the reasons he wrote it, I respect it. I wouldn't play it in a set or a mix, but I can appreciate it.

Before you hate Skream over a few pop tunes, remember all that he's given us. Shit, he's responsible for one of the greatest dubstep lp's ever imo. And he keeps putting out deeper tunes like Exothermic Reaction and Fatty Drummer for the heads.
