press wrote:hmm, overall i like it. and trust me im not into this type of sound at all, and it definitly stomps all over my general accepted line of cheese but some how they squeezed just enough funk in there for me to dig it. Its got a little of that late era funk that got a little to disco. like i said pure cheese but still groovey to me.
overall though circus is too over the top for me, def.
I agree, this track seems to be sort of a culmination of the sound Flux has been trying to go for. Sort of groovy/disco-y. I think the vocals kind of derailed the track though.

if it wasnt for the yoys and crashes everywhere i could quite like it
circus fans probably dont like it as it has a small amount of musical content in it rather than just washing machines raping each other

I'd like to do a poll to see how many people actually rate that shit? Who actually wants to hear that in a track...

I think thats the best thing Ive ever heard by those guys, that label and probably the entire clownwub movement tbh. Its actually amusing and groovy, its got a sort of tongue in cheek herbie hancock/george clinton swing to it, sounds a lot less like pathetic, unfunky, painful shit made for kids than all the other stuff Ive come into contact with. Mind you I do avoid them like the plague usually.
I want to hear m-talk too tbh, I like the sound, I hate most of the dubstep that uses it but the sound is cool.

I would take this over Bass Cannon or Sweet Shop any day. It has a sense of fun to it.

Tbh, if circus fanboys are criticising it, surely that's a good thing.

Wow...I hate everything Circus has ever released, but this tune is damn funky. I like it.

Least it isn't trancey chords followed by an arpeggio with a riser into a ear piercing screech.

We should respect that they are stepping out in a different direction, instead of the standard same old same old.
True the synths arent exactly likable, but im fond of the riffs. Bluesy?
Live drums always a plus
There are those that get kick out of bashing songs
Good for them

Sounds better than Sweet Shop to me. That track sounds like pure tinnitus.

Killed the rave at the time though. Credit to Doctor P, Sweet Shop was a banger that was fairly original and different at the time. It then just got heavily overplayed and spawned a thousand imitators, including his subsequent tracks.

Merzbow was fairly original. Stockhausen was very original and influential. Does that mean I want to listen to them? No. So why would I want to listen to Sweet Shop? Unless perhaps I was looping the first 30 seconds and pretending it was fairly average old skool hardcore.

This is the first circus track that I dont really mind, if not kinda dig. Press is right as it is PURE cheese, but at least it's fun/has some of the least obnoxious yoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoys I've ever heard/no piercing synths that hurt my brain.
