That sucks, but I don't think it's gonna be a huge setback. The scene will keep moving and our Plasticman will find something good again :)

this is unbelievable, the only known people in the nu rave scene are the klaxons where dubstep we have the likes of mary anne, plastician, skream etc really pushing the sound. im not saying the other dubstep guys arent pushing it.

this is absolutely awful. lets hope you get another slot on the fm dial soon

Oh fuck Nu Rave. I got back from Glastonbury on monday only to read that 'the best dance music by far was the nu rave of the Klaxons & CSS'. Thats blokes with guitars playing britpop - No raving, not dance music, not even 'nu' :?

thats a real shame, nu-rave doesn't deserve a specialist slot imo, hopefully they'll continue to support in future, have to make do with MAH for now :D

change is hopefully for the better.

'nu rave' - *groan*....

my brief experience with this genre was nauseating.

They flopped

Rotation aspect or not...essentially Radio 1 are telling us they'd prefer their WORLDWIDE product to be represented by a scene supported by a bunch of emo kids who decided they're gunna jump on the next fashion fad...I like the Klaxons and I like some electro but lets face it this new rave lark is just a label for how these peepz dress at the gigs of aforementioned acts...coz I’m yet to hear any rave music from this alleged Nu Rave scene. Radio Uno have flopped in my eyes and lost a lot of credibility - the powers that be are essentially taking a step backward from what Peel, Hobbs et al have been pushing since the early naughties...I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed by this.

Plastic Ian on Rinse weekly sounds mustard to me.

If Radio 1 insist on filling their schedules with the latest fads rather than representing a truly forward-thinking sound then its up to them - it's their loss.

You should have been given a weekly show anyway mate.

New rave what a joke- isn't that sort of thing already personified by such diksjokeys as Colin Murray and JK and Jarring?
