My guess is that kavsrave and joy orbison were louises loverrs, i read somewhere that kavsrave done the engineering on Hyph and was made at his house.
I think Joys tunes are of high quality but he does seem to jump on the bandwagons with in trend scenes, from fidget, to post dubstep, to house, to techno. It annoys me when i read articles that say he and other some other artists are originators when they just steal from other peoples scenes. Nothing wrong with being influenced and creating, but in all i think he is just a "scenester"

I'm not hating just saying it how it is.
I can kind of see what you mean, but if you listen to some of his first mixes, like that came about around the same time as hyph and maybe j.doe he is already dropping house and techno tunes. So I think he has always liked techno and shit, it's just now it's more acceptable to play it, in the circles that he rolls with and he is going with it.

Yeah thats true but i do think he just jumps to whatever scene/sound is big at the time which is a bit of a flake out. It wouldn't bother me if there was a slight change in direction with something new rather than whatever the popular online magazines say is cool.
I doubt he was dropping Shed and Gesloten Cirkel tracks when he made this
