This. I couldnt care less what music this retard listens to, but when he's being willfully ignorant....that pisses me off. Everyone has tried countless times to educate him, but he simply ignores them and waits till someone comes along to defend his pathetic self.Raggles wrote:Get the fuck out of here. The blog has variety and obvious appeal
But its a tough crowd here
Im defending your positive prose whether or not i like your music
People have become waay to anal about dubstep
As a third person, i gather that these trueschool heads can be the most condescending of individuals
Tainting dubstep as a whole and making it quite unattractive to be a part of.
I wish not to equate dubstep with grumpyoldbastards, but im shown otherwise
I think this list for indie beats and glitch hop is quite different from the dubstep list that I guess you could say appeals more towards fans in America.

point remains..
i can imagine not liking the sound of old dubstep
its as simple as that
some people just arent into it
and to discriminate them for their sense of taste is quite ignorant in itself
clearly dubstep turns us against one another
giving us yet another line to segregate ourselves
rather than share and enjoy
dont turn dubstep into a reason for conflict

I don't care if people dont like the sound of old dubstep. I just want them to stop calling their midrange shit "dubstep" and stop being so willfully ignorant.

If this is the future, it seems highly livable: shiny, cool and comfortably dissonant. Like a low dose of ketamine in an empty, luminous airport hall in northern Japan, eating avocado and waiting for the universe to arrive.

First of all, I want to genuinely thank you for taking this opportunity to learn about sounds you may not be familiar with. NOTE: you CANNOT listen to these songs through your laptop speakers or through shitty iPod headphones. You need either a subwoofer or a pair of headphones that have decent bass. Alright, lets get started!
These are both great examples of classic sounding dubstep:
Another classic:
Examples of the newer "dungeon" sound:
And here's two tunes showcasing what's become known as "post-dubstep"
Notice what all these songs have what almost none of the best "dubstep" songs of 2011 you posted have: subbass. That is a pivotal part of dubstep. If there's no sub, it's probably not dubstep. Let me know what you think. If you'd like more songs, just holler and I or any other member of the forum will be happy to share.

Nice list and I do enjoy the "sub bass" type of dubstep. However, I don't think any of these are new and current enough for me to post on LessThan3SCope13 wrote:First of all, I want to genuinely thank you for taking this opportunity to learn about sounds you may not be familiar with. Perhaps you can show me what's some of the latest and greatest of 2012? Stuff that just came out that's really proper.
