I use a lot of Albino for pads, not really sure of the reason.

Absynth and Z3TA, but I use a lot of stretched samples as well.

Albino and FM8 these days.
The best pads I've ever done, however, have been by building massive chains of effects whose function I do not possess the technical knowledge to understand even on the most superficial level, in Buzz.
Sticking all the dials up on FSM SprayMan, in particular, makes anything sound really pulsey and granular. Do it, resample, repeat.

I wanna try synplant cos i saw the demo vid and it had some cool pad sounds. I tend to use samples and shit for pads these days though and fuck about with them in exs24 sampler.

Rhino 2 , the best by far.
