Just because wikipedia can be inaccurate, doesn't discount as an unbiased source of knowledge. Unless you have a specific beef wub, i don't see the problem with it.

It's been used medically for things like amputations and surgery, similar to ketamine. It's a dissociative, so it has medical use. The problem is overdosing like this guy, that's when things go bad.
And when someone has mental illness like schizophrenia.

IMO if he wasn't shooting, no reason to shoot him. People have been taken down safely on PCP many times.

I guess he'd rather kill someone too much than not enough

which seems fair enough I guess

This. Police is a mechanism of the State in order to make the law positive. Law is positive because it coercive and it's coercive because police is going to gun your ass down if you disrespect it. It was a guy on drugs armed with a blunt weapon, yes he could have killed / harmed anyone. One or two shots at non vital points would suffice, if the guy died, manslaughter. But that on the video was straight up murder.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0vOzqKSLx0 the first 10 seconds. Those sounds are shots from an assault rifle.

to be fair Brazil is different and cant be compared to this. in that cilp the people shooting at the van are not just small time criminals but are big gangs that use Guerrilla warfare and also have the weapons.

Excessive use of force... why not just use beanbag rounds? Or just shoot him in the foot?

That guy does not look like he's had enough pcp to justify him being out of his mind...

though what would the UK police do? I'm trying to imagine (they wouldn't shoot him, or taser him either)

british police have never dealt with someone high on PCP

what i dont get is why the police got so close to him, other vids i've seen they stand back and wait for backup, when there's enough of them they take them down

take back my original statement that they were justified in shooting him

but our police generally aren't armed and incidents are so few and far between

Out number him. Beat him with a baton. Detain him.
