switching tempos after cutting audio is not gonna work out for me
i record the whole arrangement top to tail, on guitar, for instance
but the drums have a different feel from 140 to 128, which both work -- there's no way in hell i'm gonna time-scale all my audio .. it would ruin it
After spending close to an hour on a guitar tone, i'm just not with that.
even if i sliced it , it would be like a 125 bar .REX, no way in hell

also I wish to record several layers or other rhythm guitar parts... they would all get destroyed

this also goes for my non electronica music -- but in that i don't have the same issue, because changing tempos doesn't give me a new, workable beat since i'm not using drum machines or the like

I change tempo all the time. I switch from 120 up to 150 and really enjoying keeping it moving tbh.

Last night I did something around 123bpm I think and it sounded like it was around 140 because of the percussion.

it's EMBERS and it is 145bpm because if it was slower it would be breaks and if it was faster it would be dnb jungle

I thought the true spirit of srebme breaks was innovation.

Yeah Ember is all about stikkks!

But dude if ur recording so much material for a song doesnt it make sense to commit to some bpm and play in it... i mean i dont think anyone goes and records tons of stuff unless they know at least some basic stuff about the tune they wanna make... i dont think u r ever gonna be able to record ur guitar at 90 bpm and think u r gonna be able to fit it nicely in ember breaks. I would suggest u then start ur song in midi lay it out axperiment with tempo and whatnot and once u r happy just commit to that tempo and start recording and changing those midi with ur guitar recordings...idk

yyyeah.... i commit to a tempo when i cut audio
its just difficult and holds me up sometimes when i'm using midi and get a nice groove at two or more tempo areas

I pretty much produce at 140-150 but my most recent track i am doing for the weekly tune challenge is at 100.I have to admit this is my first time at a different tempo and i'm really liking it,i don't think it will be the last i produce at this speed.
