Two options, use reason, or stand further away from the speakers.

1. Turn the gain up on your limiters. What this does is put something called a "gain" on the mix, which is latin for "quiet".
2. Once that is done, put a reverb on the master track, and turn the dry/wet all the way to wet.
3. CMT Bitcrusher

We've had a few of those actually, currently the analogue effect thread.

I don't know why people are making fun of him, but someone asking how to make their tracks loud gets answers.

I'm quite happy someone is asking this for a change tbh!

OP, all about gain staging (huge topic on this stickied) and conservative dynamic processing. You can use compressors and limiters to tame a mix just like you can use them to make mixes louder. Just use them to control sounds rather than boost them.

I know the Moneyshot thread is a bitch to read as a beginner but seriously go check it out. my mix knowledge level went like "whooooooooshhhh" after reading it.

Delete your track. Guaranteed quietness.

I meant like messy. Like everything clashing frequency-wise. lol

Also, serious response to the question, the human ear is more sensitive to the 2000-5000 Hz range so you might want to cut a little bit in that range and see if that helps make things softer.

you kind of answered your own question, do the opposite of making something loud.
but generally what you want to do get even balance in your mix, bring your kick drum to a level where its constantly noticed, but so thats it not overpowering and its not taking the main attention if you me? hope this advice helps. its all down to get a balanced mixed and getting your levels reasonably right.

Stick a Low pass filter on your master, turn it to 0, switch off your computer...and walk away
