nu rave = indie kids who have discovered the joy of pills. nothing more. trust me the whole scene will die out in a couple of months when all the indie kids have eaten too many pills and start getting horrible comedowns.

Not sure why you should want to spend time thinking or talking about why you don't like something.
Jesus - just leave them be. If they like nu-rave, then that's valid. Nobody is forcing you to listen to it or go to the 'raves' and watch the kids there.
The music I think isn't too bad. I personally find the fashion thing quite annoying, but I also see that this is kind of my problem and nobody else's.
Someone might look at me and think 'What a twat - who does he think he is with his hoody and baggy trousers? Fucking Eminem?'. They would be cocks for thinking so and so am I for judging someone if they want to wear throwback '80s fashion and a fucking NES controller as a belt.

I work in Shoreditch so am around these dicks all the time. Here's my two cents:
1. A shop nearby just openend which basically just sells shit; provided it's fluroescent shit. Plus crap old toys, useless garbage etc. Because it's in Shoreditch it's apprently worth something. PATHETIC.
2. The clothes. Plain and simple. Just awful.

I know that shop. Its next to the redchurch, I just moved away from the area.
Best thing about that location is that there is no protection from birdshit and all the local pigeons get fat on brick lane curry. That shop (and all their stolen bikes outside) is gonna get fucked up by all the birds.
Who cares if shops in shoredich charge tnuc tax. Only the stnuc will pay it.

Well nu-rave isn't actually a genre so what constitutes nu-rave is basically the music policy of indie dance nights. So in the nu-rave banner Justice, SMD, Uffie and Feadz, Erol Alkan remixes and Drop the lime fit pretty comfortably.

I went to a nu rave party put on by super super magazine and it was great fun, tune that got the biggest reaction of the night was "sweet like chocolate" LOL!

drop the lime aint nu rave, his alter ego curses! could be considered it though.
dont see what the point in this thread is, not particulary into the fashion but some of the artists who could be coined as nu rave are makin some great fucking music, Justice/Digitalism/Simian/KSO etc.....
actually got me interested in House type beats for the first time....
just leave em be, they probably think were all weirdos with our gunshot fingers innit

no need to be sad jim
i just dont see the point in hating on shizzle, only music i cant abdie by is scouse house, and thats due to the complete lack of originality,
when my mates laughin at the fact he made 100k off makin the horror that was 'pretty green eyes' and admitting it was 'shite, but the kids love it', then that deserves true hate!
