he figures out most of his tracks on piano or guitar before he produces them, or atleast he did for the first album he put out
some of the little licks and chord progressions are really well done, the melody lines on his vocals are crazy aswell
its hard to spot it through the heavyness but its there. im no skrillex fanboy before you ask

Oh i agree, his songs sound good when their not just a clusterfuck of bass sounds (for the most part), but i haven't really spotted anything i would call complex. Like, some unexpected chord change that changes the feel, or mood, or like, any mind-blowing intricacies in the syths or drums. Again, i haven't listened to most of his catalouge (I've only liked Scary Monsters, Scatta, and.... something else ) so if you could post an example, i would appreciate it man.

The vocal edits are nice, but aside from that I'm hearing nothing you wouldn't here in some progressive house/trance song. My contribution While it's 3 different people playing it's still sick

Vexare is only 16 and has been playing piano for years his tracks feature some of the sickest melodic work ive heard (listen to the second drop on this) -



Also check out Blackmill he has some really chillout melodic stuff, and like a few people mentioned Phaleah is a genius!

Not sure if serious.... Haha. This song sounds good, don't get me wrong. I get why people like it. But theoretically impressive? Nah.
