I didn't like circle at first, but I couldn't stop listening to it! I used to listen to that shit compulsively; it's viral!

Ye there are a few too many but short enough to not get to pretentious.

I like anticon beatmakers. The MCs don't really do much for me though.

When Odd Nosdam was all rough tape loops and stuff.. I challenge anyone to listen to Plan 9 Meet Your Hypnosis all the way through and not get thoroughly sketched out.

I thoroughly endorse sixtoo... and so should everyone. He is a genius.

But in terms of pure paranoia and fuzzed out DIY brilliance, that first Odd Nosdam album cannot be beaten. Everything he did afterwards sounded kind of safe and clean by comparison. I guess he learned how to produce :D

Ye UFO

Iv got a 7" of Sixtoo somewhere made on a 1200xl and a 4 track..genius..Bet they all got cubase now so lack that ghostly feel and purposeful DIY sound they had..

a lot of people didn't like that album because it seemed to sever any remaining ties why? had with hip-hop - personally i thought it was just a tremendous indie-rock album with the benefit of why?'s own unique skewed take on melody and of course lyrics.. also i interviewed him around that time fwiw

sixtoo has a new album out soon, i just got sent it but haven't had a listen yet..

oh yeah, and reaching quiet's 'broken crow' will probably always be one of my favouritest songs of all time.. 'just make sure you get out of here by december...'

Dan i beg u give me that 62 record. I'm not too big into anything he's done lately but then I'm still a completist when it comes to him and i always check out evertything new he does, including all the ludicrously expensive 7"s on Bully!

and yeah Ben NOSDAMS first album is what anticon was alllll about for me. Fuzz, paranoia, fun, confusion, lo fi collaged brilliance. Shame they went a totally different route later on when they figured out how to use their equipment properly
