This probably won't be too helpful, but after a short demo, here's my impressions:

1. In terms of interface, there is no comparison. Ohmicide's interface in my opinion is one of the worst out there, and Fabfilter's is one of the best. That alone makes this worth considering.

2. For light saturation, tape saturation, etc., Saturn sounds great. It's really easy to get a thick, warm sound, and since it's multi-band, I can see it being really useful in situations where Vintage Warmer or Ferric would cause you to add a pre- or post-EQ (or both).

3. There's less algorithms than Ohmicide, but ALL of them sound good and useful, whereas I often found myself tediously browsing algorithms in Ohmicide just to find one that sounded good.

4. The reason I say this may not be helpful is that I almost exclusively used Ohmicide as a send, turned the distortion WAY up, and would mix the signal just a bit, so that you would have an extremely distorted signal at a low volume on top of the regular signal. I didn't get a chance to try this with Saturn, so maybe somebody could compare that point.

Preciate it doods. I agree, Ohmicide has to be one of the worst interfaces. Actually all their interfaces are a chore. Hate them. Like those guys, but what gives with the interfaces....

Not gonna lie - from that video, shit looks DOPE.

I am a family man and can't drop dough here and there at will... but this VST just got bumped way the fuck up on my consideration list. Dope sounds and Easy controls... Win - Win....

Just an aside, does anyone find some of their interfaces to be total shitty, like timeless and volcano2, and others to be as easy breazy as it can beezy, like pro-l, pro-c, simplon, and micro?

Not coincidentally, Timeless and Volcano2 are a lot older than those other ones. They're also WAY more complex.

I haven't used Timeless, but Twin2 can be a huge pain to figure out, in terms of the interface.

I've found Volcano2 really easy to use when you're starting from scratch but a pain if you're tweaking a preset (which can be really complex).

I don't use many plug-ins as i use pretty much exclusively use reason but Timeless is possibly one of my favourites. Can get lush delays out of it

I've tried saturn out, i have to say its now one of my favourite plugins! The interface is way easier than ohmicide, and i find it much more fun. Got some good results already too.
