Me not quite, but pretty close.

Logic Express 9, shitty consumer headphones (I'm gonna upgrade soon, I check my mixes on my school's monitors), and a basic M-Audio Oxygen 25 keyboard. And a USB mic.

I know Skrillex does, said in a video something about "for my genre all I need is my headphones and my laptop"

but yeah, most of the time I do.
Macbook Pro 13", Audio Technica ATH M50, Alchemy, All 3 of the other CamelAudio plug-ins, Razor, Effectrix and I'm good to go :) oh, and Logic 9.

Also got a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB and M-Audio Axiom 25 but don't feel like I always need it especially when I can use the Macbook keyboard to play notes...

Yeah I want to get an interface next. And I would argue that a keyboard just feels a billion times nicer than a macbook keyboard.

I do for sure, I plug in a keyboard and mouse to my laptop and throw ableton onto my slightly larger monitor haha just for a bigger workspace. I see no need for any hardware for producing other than maybe a mic
a small keyboard could be useful too but certainly not necessary

Yeah not for Ableton, because Ableton has a super nice piano roll.

With logic, it's more necessary.

HP Pavillion dv6, Ableton + some Senns. IMO As long as you know your headphones, monitors aren't really a necessity, although saying that, I am thinking about getting some. Also, MIDI keyboards are only really useful if you're recording directly into your DAW. I generate most of my melodies by dropping random notes into the piano roll or aimlessly bashing my keyboard 'till I find something that sounds good.

It definitely does, but they're not extremely portable :P

i use a crappy like 5 year dell inspiron with reason 5 and some tasty bose headphones. i do have a desktop pc with some ancient wharfdale lasers, but most of the time i'm to lazy to use it, prefer to lie in bed and make tracks. i'll hop on the desktop to get a mixdown or have a sitdown day.

That's all I use. I recently picked up an oxygen25 but I don't use it as much as I thought I would.

I do most my sound design and rough draft/early sketchs with a single SkullCandy Earbud and my MBP. I usually am watching tv with my wife on the couch. I have a full studio in the next room but i only use that when im doing major writing/mixdowns and mastering.

Artists who produce on there laptops:
Flux Pavilion
Porter Robertson
Bassnectar
Skrilly of course too.

Im sure they use studios too but i have read they produce on there bus/coffee shops alot just with headphones and there laptops.
