Already did that 7 years ago when I moved to S.F. Why? A combination of dope music scenes, liberal politics, great food, good weather, close proximity to loads of beautiful natural environments/nat'l parks.

My parents will be in Santa Barbara this week, holiday styles. I've been before and it's nic! LA is a bit of a non-event for a really big city tho!
