Mine would be: don't put tracks out until you can listen to them all the way through and not want to change/add anything

this may sound trivial to some, but this is huge advice. if you mix in the box, make templates with the volume faders all the way down on the mixer. dont get anywhere near 0dB (0dBFS) until mixdown

its amazing how many people are all in the same position, i agree with alot of these!

the mistake i always make is to overcook the track and try to do too much at once which kills my creativity!

ALSO, note to self: when in the zone, leave youtube & soundcloud the fuck alone. :6:

Don't try and make dubstep/dnb/house/etc, make your music, then everything else will fall into place

Don't feel discouraged because other people are better than you. There will always be someone better.

Dear 'Past Self'...

PLEASE do not think that just because you have a record or two or three that all of the sudden everything will get easier. It might... but only for a short time, and then it will fade. If you stopped hustlin' during the easy times, it will take twice as long to get the hunger and mojo back.

Never stop hustlin' like you did to get your first record.

This. I still end up looping shit too much.

Also, don't sit burning all night. A few puffs every half hour does just fine. (Still trying to learn this one lol)
