I think this video showcases it pretty well. For even just filtering alone, I see this becoming something I would use constantly.

I don't know what the cut-off point for old threads are but hopefully a month isn't too old.
But does anyone know any freeware equivalents to Iris? Spectral synthesizers that allow for interesting sounds via sample manipulation?
I've been interested in this type of synthesis ever since I heard Amon Tobin had used zyma to create Isam but don't have enough money to purchase any of these types of synths.
