Mucho respecto, that is a damn fine tune.Ian brown and that tnuc Noel Gallager said that Richard Ashcroft was one of the best song writer's to come out of this country so to be getting that sort of respect you must be pretty special at what you do.

Most of the songs have been posted in this thread are here, because they remind you of times getting high with your friends...
Good composition to me is when a track hits you with pure human emotion, it transcends age, sex, race, culture, and it doesn't matter if its the first time you heard it, or the trillionth time you have heard it.
My top 5, off the top of my head.

Ok computer and yoshimi are two of the best albums out in the past two decades. I like oasis, but not really in the same league as radiohead or the lips. and yes, everyone knows the lips throw the greatests concerts in the world.

Tangential, but everyone owes it to themselves to watch this movie without sound, and to listen to this movie w/o images. Absolutely incredible on both sides.

I also think loveless has some of the best, albeit unorthodox, composition of any album ever. also Brian Eno. Although I guess I'm partial toward albums that created genres.

if you don't know who wendy carlos is... you're a disgrace to electronic music. and yeah, blade runner stands the test of time as basically the greatest sci-fi movie ever.. although that music sounds like it's straight out of a porno.

Incidentally Wendy/Walter Carlos' ticket to fame was an electronic performance of the works of a true master of composition.

yeah, that's how i learned about "her." Switched on Bach is amazing.
Brandenburg Concertos...
it's something about baroque music, that driving rhythm, that i love... which is why i love Wolf Parade's first album so god damn much.

In terms of composition, bohemian rhapsody by queen is probably the best song ever written. when you actually sit down and properly analyse it, there isnt another song on earth that uses the same structure, it is genuinely genius. and i fucking hate queen.

This tune is quite possibly my all-time favorite. It shows how experimental Skrillex can be in melody, structure, and general composition. Enjoy.
