Due to the number of reports we have had of this problem we do not support machines with AMD processors for use with Scratch LIVE.

That's more a case of bad coding with Serato, PEBKAC, and probably some AMD technology causing conflicts (like Cool n Quiet, their processing stepping options) which can be turned off. If the processors work fine everywhere else, it's obviously a problem with Serato's coding. Also companies receive payouts for catering to and supporting specific hardware over others much like gaming companies. I will not use Intel products, and I don't use Serato anyway but a friend of mine has been running a Serato setup on AMD laptops for years. The only problem I remember him having was having to set the processor affinity for the Serato task to CPU 0 only, but that was because Serato had to update their code to support new processors a while back. It just says SOME users, so obviously it's not the processors but a mix of the above.

I changed my affinity on my old laptop, and all it did was delay killing my computer. Its not just happened to me, but to at least 6-10 other people I know. While it only says some users, its still obviously enough of a problem that Serato tech support just wont deal with your problem if you have an AMD. Whether its from coding or not, its just not worth having that processor while running Serato.

I've got no experience with Serato, but I will take your word for it. I can't see any reasons why it would happen though besides neglecting thorough testing during development which would also explain them just ignoring it I guess. Kind of makes me curious to try it though! It sounds like a possible heat issue or something. When you say 'killed', your core cracked or what?

Ehh just one of my many long-standing personal boycotts. If I disagree with a company's business practises or political affiliations (who they give money to) I try to avoid their products.

Yeah sorry, I should have been more specific lol. Yeah both me and my roommate had our cores crack, and one of those computers was specifically for serato
