people follow "opinion leaders" for several reasons. one because they respect their judgement enough to think seriously on their opinions even if they don't agree with them. two because there isn't enough time in the day for someone personally to discern the good stuff from the torrent of stuff that comes out, so they defer to someone who has the time (this isn't always "not thinking" to be fair). three, because they want to be seen as having the "right opinions" and getting their info from the "right people" (so yeah a matter of ego and herd mentality).
basically being an opinion leader doesn't necessarily have much to do with "thinking" and more to do with the currency of reputation. no i don't think it makes a huge difference if it is like or hate. i don't know about this "control" shtick. people are too quick to turn any whiff of human non-individuality into a rant about sheep, when the reality is that these are natural and often useful behaviours.
a friend told me earlier this week that he is different than everyone at my school , as vaguely as that sounds i disagreed. he also stated that appearance shows who the person is/personality , i disagreed how would that be possible?

I dislike most of all the people that use hate as justification of their success. Being berated for an abortion of a track that incorporates all the worst elements of other genres isn't a signal of jelousy, it's cause you're a fucking shambles of a human being that deserves derision.
