Re: 151 producers each take on the original 151 Pokémon..?
Well let's discuss it first.
Limiting to first 151:
Pros: More nostalgic, more contained.
Cons: Only so many cool Pokemon to write tunes about.
But if we limit to first 151, and if that works out, we could do Gold/Silver next, then Ruby/Sapphire, then Diamond/Pearl. (Black/White sucked, no point in writing about that.)
Not Limiting:
Pros: So many cool Pokemon to write tunes about. (Deoxys, Rayquaza, Suicune, Dialga, Darkrai, etc.)
Cons: Less nostalgic/90's feel, not opportunity for any snappy Vol. 2.

1. Black and White are good, take of the rose tinted glasses and they are probably the best games.
2. Limiting then doing each gen in turn if they turn out well is a good idea

Alright, limiting it is!Brothulhu wrote:1. Black and White are good, take of the rose tinted glasses and they are probably the best games.

Nerd talk: I mean, I don't know. I appreciate what B&W brought to the table as far as technology-wise (The moving pokemon are pretty cool, and the wireless features are obviously the best in the franchise), but some of the execution was done poorly. I hate how the pokemon on your team are pixelized. I also hated the storyline, God knows how many times they mentioned "We are all different, but that's ok, we need to accept eachother!", and at the Elite 4 when a building came out of the ground... the fuck?
But yeah, Limiting sounds nice. Now just to see who else is on board. Everyone start posting which Pokemon they want and I'll compile a list in the first post.
The only problem is, what if like some guy wants Gengar, and then doesn't get around to making the tune, it's not fair that other people lost that opportunity. Or if their Gengar track is shit, we obviously don't want that on the compilation, and that means someone else could have made a good Gengar tune... So then we could have people make as many as they wanted for as many different Pokemon and vote on the best ones, but what if there are 2 good Gengar tracks... ugh

The winners/best should be voted on, if their are multiples the best one will winInternetSlaveMaster wrote:Alright, limiting it is!Brothulhu wrote:1. Black and White are good, take of the rose tinted glasses and they are probably the best games.

Alright so, we don't actually make a list of who's doing what, we just pick pick a due date when everyone turns their tunes in and then we go to a vote. Sound good?

I'll actually make a list of who's doing what, just so those who want to participate can see the competition for each Pokemon, like "Oh there are 5 people doing Mewtwo tracks, I'll do something else."
Re: 151 producers each take on the original 151 Pokémon..?
You should edit the first post on this thread with all the details so people dont have to read through all this

Awesome idea! do they have to be dubstep tunes? cause I don't really make dubstep but would love to participate in this.
