objectively goldbaby's are the best but if you want some really really long compressed 808's without much top end check out boi1da's soundpack. theres only 2 in there but i use them quite often.

Lex lugers kit has a few good long kicks.
And when i layer drums, it's more about volume than eqing. If i can get the levels right, it's a longshot that i have to eq them.

tbh i think youre just better with one big kick(if thats what youre going for) and then boosting 80 odd hz and 200 odd hz and taking out around 300-400 hz

I have never wanted to just use an 808 kick, I only really use them for low freq in kicks, or like a bassline. I do get confused when people talk about 808's now, I never know if they mean just a standard short kick, or just a booming, punchy 808 bassline.

Yeah EQing them and busing them together and gently compress the bus will help making them sound like one kick.

If it sounds good it sounds good. Some samples require little processing to work together, some require more so; depends on the samples and what your trying to do with them. No offence but a bit of common sense is all this took. There's no strict formula for layering kicks, or anything for that matter, production would get boring if you approached it the same way every time, try out different techniques and methods etc, keep things fresh for yourself.
