Do you need to be online all the time?
ps3 port is a NO NO
I heard that the first one on ps1 isn't too terrible.
It was really good. Taking up loads of space on a memory card was the only drawback.
But yeah they shouldn't do a PS3 port.

Installing now.
Whoever wants a D3 or a WoW guest pass, pm me.
PS if you get that "you need a newer operating system" error on installation with vista or Win7, don't panic - there is a workaround.

oh god they have a bug with the installer on release day for modern operating systems

sometimes i wonder how these companies roll out products broken while they do all these public "beta" tests before hand and closed ones

true, but i think if its only if you havent updated to the latest service pack. my vista is an old p*rated version and I cant update it so im in that category.
at any rate if you're not going to play allow the negativity plz. we aint on a casual ting.

diablo 3 is a casual game release in all honesty, titan quest was more akin to the diablo universe and gameplay than this latest iteration is, at least from when i played the beta weekend
i'll snag it eventually, but i think i already addressed just a few of the issues i have with it
-real life cash shop, which is going to bring in farmers
-always online required
like i said i'm more amped for torchlight 2 (still won't preorder it though)
that and i tend to avoid paying full price or preordering because of bugs like this, that and the fact it will be cheaper in a few months time (and patches and updates will likely have been covered)

there will be a crack for the online thing. ill be trading in a private community so i dont care about the money ting. nor am i really big on pvp either.
fair enough tho

Is there even any point in getting games on the day of release anymore? All recent highly-anticipated releases seem to get rushed and released with major bugs that either require immediate patching on install to play, or patching over the next couple weeks as they drip feed the fixes as they become available. Combined with inevitable patch or login server fail.

it's usually the major companies that this happens to as they announce these (sometimes unrealistic) release dates (and in this case since there are retail hard copies) they want to stick to that deadline, even if it means not putting in enough testing time in or last minute features getting added as they are held accountable by their publishers where they get all their money from
hell just this week and last i think 2 major games announced pushing back their release date the new tomb raider and bioshock infinite

Anybody know of a reliable digital distribution store that has this in stock? Its $80 on the blizzard site, and all the aussie stores are hard copy only.
