wasn't that the plotline of Rocky #8?
except he fell unconscious inhaling Dencorub fumes & woke up seeing stars

Seven's album can't penetrate the plastic barrier surrounding Australia even tho Scarey Spice got thru.

Perhaps we should speak in code

Defended by floating carrier bags, a plastic barrier reef
No sign of miss bunton, posh, ginger or C
But B be here, B been seen being BBC
Count 1-2-3
-4-5 -spicey bitches
5 rocky films
From rags up to riches
"mYhOO AYYdreeeAN"
Get me a cuppa tea,
While yo attit, Rack up a line of da Protein - P
-POWDER
Inhell dat powder
Louder, louder, look over ya shoulder
What's that aroma, Scary spice or Mr. Mulder
Things getting spooky in the Rocky horror nostril show
Intergalactic trouble: his nostril tells him where to go
Uranus or up Urpenis
Hear this,
hepatitis,
Australia needs this quality license
Seperate mite checks
Which might better check for scary spices

^ to what extent are you liberating yourself from your stuff?
credit cards, wallet, money?
clothing, shoes, backpack?
mobile, watch, music-player?
friends, family, lover?
and why? Are you simply letting go or do you have a purpose in mind?

@blah: I'm glad you decided against using code.
A wonderful, profound rant that elicits everything that is randomly right with the world.

are the domains of invisible dragons...

sold or gave away my record and cd collection, my decks, maschine, ableton, cdj, book collection, guitar and amps, speakers, monitors, keyboards and synths+amps, put most of my clothes in charity bags.

Basically everything I own that I can't fit in a backpack is gone now, I'm gonna have about £500 cash, no cards.

I lived in Thailand as a test run last year and now I'm gonna go back and try and find somewhere else in SE Asia to volunteer and find some work. I know now that I can live somewhere completely new, with no contacts and get on fine. I lasted seven months last time and I only came back to sort out my things.

I guess what I had in mind about feeling liberated is every time I move house it would be missions due to ridiculous amounts of records and 'stuff.' I feel much more free now that I have nothing beyond what I need to get by.

@ capo ultra: an extremely boss undertaking, congratulations!
Obviously you don't think it's a crazy idea because you're doing it but have others thought so?
Bangla Desh, Burma or Laos might be worth considering
...heaps cheaper than Thailand & lots of things to be done by people who aren't subsisting.

maybe this current economic situation will see more people shedding stuff for an unburdened existence
lately reading about Greeks leaving cities & setting up veggie gardens to subsist

crazy idea:
there'll come a day when somebody physically cultivating organic food
is more highly valued than a inner-city trendoid making tv commercials
(what a pity that can be conceived of as crazy...i.e. unlikely)

reperv, you're doing it again...
as Harpo Marx said: inanity ain't insanity

Come back here with some truly crazy ideas man.
I'm sure you're more than capable.
Just give it a bit more brain time,
eradicate the obvious, the trite, the conditioned responses
& let me know something fully crazy brother.

I don't think this is such a crazy/unlikely idea. Sooner rather than later.

How about organic urban veggie gardens inside big cities?
But hey, London's already got a few, teaching people how to grow your own food.

Now you got my tiny brain heat up, sd5. But no idea seems crazy enough to post in here (yet).

Real-life dancing corn please.

:corndance:

If they can make blue strawberries, and Mexican jumping beans, where is my god-damn dancing corn? Even an animatronic stuffed toy would do.

I'm pretty sure I saw one in a Darwin shop selling chinese shit to asian tourists.

I'm wondering if I could live in an aquaduct under the freeway about a km from here,
cutting thru National Park but in the road easement.
Surrounded by thick bush it gathers water from a large catchment (tick water)
which brings down a lot of flotsam (tick firewood)
it has 15m of rock & fill over it (tick protection from heat & cosmic rays)
it gets flushed out regularly (tick no snakes, rats, spiders).
I've scoped a lot of places like this for when I become a bum.

jus bin watchin the PBS news
China owns the U S of A thru pension fund debts alone
& it's migrants are happier than other US citizens.
Done & dusted.

I'm thinking of being on the weatherchannel
doing weather wraps
like: "...and Canberra, on Sunday you'll have a beautiful day with a low of -3 and a max of 9 but you won't be able to enjoy it outdoors because there'll be a sou-souwest gale with rain and sleet."
or win The Voice, not an easy game to play,
with my powerful but heartbreaking rendition of Yesterday

And
I know it's fucking crazy:

What if we had more freedom of the press, not less?
If Murdoch hadn't had his cattle baron way with us,
couldn't warp political opinion with propagandizing news outlets in the interests of his ego & empire.
...a world where late mining magnate Lang Hancock's daughter, Gina,
widely known as three times double you
the virld's vealthiest voman
note crazy bit
bloated with windfall gains & resisting sharing the wealth
isn't about to takeover Fairfax Press & it's progressive, mix of centrist & chardonnayset editorial tone
a blow to Julian Essange's protest against the corruption of information
he'll be soon swallowed, exiled & buried...for his crazy idea
that we shouldn't be denied the truth or at least all attempts at it.

Forgot the truly crazy idea I had.
I think it was about dubstep still being the bestest music around.
But it could've been the one about being honest,
dropping all pretense & subterfuge
and being myself,
not exactly lovable
but a sympathetic character,
flaws being dealt with stoically,
making the best of unlimited opportunities
to crap on to this point > . < & beyond.
There is a beyond isn't there?
Where this ends?
and the rest happens,
you happen
your mind
you
:strooper:
I'm crossing over
becoming you
leasing your premises
looking back at that fool
wondering, over the abysmal font,
at the wisdom of God.

I was actually thinking about saving up some cash, and then one day rent a small place in some very cheap country.
And then just stay in there for a year, completely isolated, never coming out (except for buying groceries) and completely isolated from friends & relatives (no internet, phone etc.).

I'd probably spend the year coming up with some proper deep philosophical ideas and making a lot of tunes. That, or going completely mad like Jack Nicholson in the Shining.\
Anyone else ever thought about this ?
