When I hear this DAW suck or that DAW is better (same w/ VST's), there really is no excuse when resampling and OTB options are available. I think people expect stellar sound, when most great studio sound is done by getting sonic colors/character/warmth by utilizing actual interaction of transistors/transformers/tubes/circuitry/diodes/e.t.c. to get a specific tone signature.

IK little off :corndance: :corndance:
Analogue is overrated.

People paying out FL usually don't know what they are talking about  They think it makes them sound sophisticated, and they are probably threatened by your music.

Analogue is overrated
So I suppose none of your material will never touch the analog domain when mastered?

Started with FL, it's still my main DAW though I'm learning Ableton to make full use of my Launchpad and stuff.. but I'm learning Ableton because I like some of its specific features, not because I think it will make my music sound any better.

Will always use FL to an extent though.

If you don't feel any more inspired by other DAWs then don't bother switching, you'll just waste your time.

I never said that, but it still doesn't mean its not overrated. I actually like the sound of digital. Had this discussion with someone who was arguing that digital recording is killing the movie industry, that if a movies not filmed on film its not to be taken seriously. I like digital films for the same reason as digital music, its crisp and pleasing...digital is like hd audio compared to the "warmth" (aka light muddy distortion that people feel nostalgia for when they hear) of analogue. And honestly feeding a digital track trough an analogue compressor is like when movie studios put a fake grain effect over a digital film

Madeon
Skrillex (Used to at least)
12th Planet (started on it as Infiltrata)
Concord Dawn
Avicii
Laidback Luke
Louie LaRoche
DeaDmau5 (Occasionally)
Basshunter

Feed me uses FL are you serious? O.O

And obviously Skream used it in his early tunes, not exactly sure when he switched to whatever he uses now (Logic I think?) but I'm pretty sure 99% of his influential tunes were made in FL.

i.e. when Skream was good

While I take the opposite standpoint on which is better between the two, I agree on all else you said. I think the warmth of analog isn't due to the fact that it's analog, no...it's due to the imperfections of the hardware (which many people, myself included, happen to love the sound of). If a computer gave that kind of imperfection, it would crash five times before it could even boot...computers have to run processes as perfectly as possible and therefore, you don't get those beautiful analog imperfections from a digital synth unless the synth is programmed to emulate them. But yes, digital is typically way cleaner and better defined sound. I could go into more detail, but I doubt that would benefit anybody.

Just saying to y'all that there is a sonic character/signature when using an analog gear (i.e. UA solo/610), that algorithms find hard duplicating. I love digital,
I just think IMHO for me.... it needs a trip OTB before mixing & mixdown.
