If i'm right watch the throne didn't get leaked at all... all tunes were keep with them and in the studio and that was it!
I was referring to Vol. 3 Life and Times of Shawn Carter. Jay-Z stabbed a guy named "Un" who he thought gave the album to bootlegger... Here's what wikipedia says.
"Jay-Z was accused of stabbing record executive Lance "Un" Rivera for what Jay-Z perceived was Rivera's bootlegging of Vol. 3... Life and Times of S. Carter. The stabbing allegedly occurred at the record release party for Q-Tip's debut solo album Amplified at the Kit Kat Klub, a now defunct night club in Times Square, New York City, on December 9. Jay-Z's associates at the party were accused of causing a commotion within the club, which Jay-Z allegedly used as cover when he supposedly stabbed Rivera in the stomach with a five-inch (127 mm) blade.[26] In his book Decoded, Jay-Z addresses his assault case. While he didn't apologize for his actions, he did express regret that the incident happened and attributed it to a loss of control, saying that there was no reason for him to get into a situation that put him and people who depended on him at risk. He also vowed to never get involved in a similar situation again."

I know of one occasion where someone leaked a track of mine as someone accidentally told me he'd sent it to them, this person is doing very well for themselves now and I have to wonder how many other tracks they leaked by other producers and also am so so tempted to post who they are on facebook..
Why should they recieve any consideration when they sent a track about i gave to 6 or 7 people?

Yeah its gas when absolute nobodies get "pissed off" when their tracks get leaked pretending they are big shots when in fact the leaked track is more than likely instantly deleted from the hard drive of whoever downloaded it

Wow, you have such a strong argument.

There just seems to be so much sniping, and hate, and 1 up-manship in dubstep.
It all seems like bullshit to me.

Yeah come on, no need to throw your toys out the pram because you didn't get enough hits on day 1.
If we were only in it for the numbers, NONE of the Dubliminal crew would be making, sharing or releasing music at all.
I could post up a .zip of 25 unreleased Cessman tunes tomorrow on Facebook and guarantee it'd get fewer comments than if I put up a stupid status like "My god, aren't black people lazy these days!"
That's life. I was actually gonna check your mix, the TL looked interesting, but I guess it's too late now

It's no secret that people leak their own tunes in order to benefit from it (exhibit one: Wiley); and the flipside of this is that some people will claim to have had tunes leaked to try and generate some artificial hype. What confuses me more is why people choose to leak other people's tunes.
Surely your value as a DJ increases as you receive more dubplates - I don't think that people would be so keen to book/see Youngsta if he was just going to spin that week's latest releases - so why would you leak something that is actually, to look at it bluntly, strengthening your own personal position?

Baffles me. Honestly can't see a valid reason for doing it, unless you just straight up don't care you've been sent some unreleased tunes and placed in a position of trust.

That's the thing though, it doesn't even have to be about respecting the other person's trust because surely your selfish reasons for holding the dub for yourself outweigh the selfish reasoning behind betraying their trust.

So much respect for Dubliminal.
