x - floor(x)
99.99999999% purity.

Raw monophonic saws are also hella boring, dunno why you'd be trying to synthesize one.
lol

i don't understand the issue.... you have a few soft synths. use your favorite one and make a saw. it goes "bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" wonderful. you're done. massive's fine. What the hell is wrong with its saw wave?? ideally you would sample raw saws out of a minimoog or a jupiter, imo. but really who cares? thor is fine too. use scream to fatten it

no no no and there is the bad N.E.W.S. for all of the friends because there is today the knowledge that the maximum demonstration purity is only 98.9% when there is normal weather inside of the saw WAVE so there is the fave and it is RED with shame and chocolate but not of course PRIDE! the biggest of the 2 problems is because the saw WAVE is very tricky inside the box but almost creative outside the box too and that is the reason that purity is so much limited. there is sometimes the math but that has the paper problem so that does not have the counting right;

If your still wondering this try a V modular VST BY ARTURIA or summit like that. You can try a demo for about 20 minutes which I'm sure is a good enough amount of time to load a SAW on one of the OSCS. It's very old school but pure and seems real if that makes sense

That actually doesn't make sense because any VA simulation won't come close to a sterile perfect sawtooth, and for good reason. This thread was doomed from the start though.

Why do you want a pure saw wave in the first place? After all a guitar doesn't sound best pure out of the guitar... it sounds best when you have EQed the crap out if it.
In sound design there is more than on way to make any sound. I really don't see how having a pure wave is helping you in anyway.

Actually your pure saw wave won't be very pure once it's been pitched up or down in a sampler, they all add aliasing and filtering and all sorts.
If you want a harmonically pure saw, check out that LuSH101 synth. It's modelled on an analog saw, but even so it's way purer than anything you'll likely get from a softsynth or sampler. Eats up a fair bit of CPU but sounds totally unlike anything else.

I can now confirm 99.97% sawtooth purity using excel 2010.
Sounds like walter whites meth
