That's easy to get in Windows or just reset and make yourself a new account with full rights. But I see now he means school laptop as in the laptop his school lets him use, and not his laptop he also uses for school work. So yeah, probably don't want to get into trouble then. I didn't know schools even did that these days tbh. Plenty of kids stole the graphing calculators at mine, wonder how many laptops they've lost...

KrEs, Massive is pretty unique, but for wavetable based stuff try one of the free Zebras www.u-he.com
Tyrell also, but it's just a regular subtractive type synth, just a very good one.
I'd be concerned about latency on those laptops but give it a go.

Thanks for the suggestion... By the way, they've blocked everything that we could use (safe mode, making a new account etc.). You can't format it without alerting the DET (Department of Education and Training). If you lose it or somebody steals it, it's got a tracking device to alert the police as well (which is one of the nicer features that they have lol)

If you run it off a usb i don't think you can use it in studios but only stand alone, unless you have the vst file in what ever program your using, you would also need some space on that drive.. Haha :) Never really thought of that
