If there is no gain reduction, then there is no limiting. So what is the point of it being there?

bahh! Come on man, 0-3db's of limiting is not going to kill your dynamics.
Might not kill them, but will reduce them. Also I don't want 10-60 limiters eating my CPU, and giving me headaches.
