I just picked up a Dell Inspiron i7 2.4ghz, turboboost to 3.0ghz, full hd 108p 17", 8gb Kingston HyperX memory, 1tb 10000rpm HDD for 600 quid refurbed. I'm running Cubase 5 rewiring ableton with a shedload of vst instruments and plugins. It Barely scrapes the CPU or asio. Highly recommended.

HP shits out on you after a few months...trust me on this. They suck ass.

PC laptops usually overheat and carry a lot of problems...I'd suggest on getting a Macbook pro. It'll be my first Apple Product when I get mine :4:
