I usually wear Hearos, the ones that go fairly deep inside the canal...not the most comfortable but you can at least still hear everything, it is just somewhat quieter and I avoid my ears ringing afterwards. Protect your hearing at all costs!!
I use Hearos at band prac, so does our guitarist. Drummer and Keys player use etymotic ER-20's, which are basically the same thing. Kinda hard to keep em in more than a couple hours before they get unbelievably annoying....still amazing though. Only problem is that because they cut out a lot of the high's (less fkn loud cymbal noise FTW) they probably aren't great for use whilst mixing.

Pointless whinging aside, I see no reason to mix that loud, especially if you're using headphones. Seriously they're right on your ears!

Note: For anyone considering getting hearos, don't get em in white. Or at least get new ones every couple on months. I have several pairs of brown ones that used to be white....

this sorta^
Your mix will transfer better quiet to loud when you turn it up then vice versa.

I'm catching Flosstradamus on Friday! haha, I'll take that into consideration.

And yeah, I mentioned that I believed that the quality of the Datisk and Excision earplugs might be questionable.
Nice! Flosstradamus had a hell of a set, the most bass I've ever heard. Definitely shove something in your ears.
