Ah man I love mixing in Gambia, always gives a nice switch up! it is quite tricky but it's one of those tunes that once you get the hang of, you'd wanna mix it in every time purely to re-assure yourself that you're a sick dj

now This is one bitch of a tune to mix in, sucks even more how it's an amazing tune as well. Same goes for Blood On My Hands

roll with the punches is doable.
But it also has frequent melody clash to concern yourself with both with mixing in but also in mixing out. Plus the overwhelming sub bass is hard to match. And you know, once you start cutting the lows, any tune that comes after that will sound weak.

I've always enjoyed doing Roll With The Punches into Miracles. Works both ways,
Roll With The Punches becomes harder to mix out of once the more reverby/second main melody comes in, that can be quite clashy, but when you do mix it: so satisfying.

Im not sure if I have a dodgy record or not, it seems to be missing the first beat so I have to start a split second late.

Skream - Hazey Mind is fuckin impossible.
Virtual DJ reckons it's 130BPM, but that makes no sense to my brain. I can easily beatbox some 160 metalheadz tune over it and it sounds perfect in my mind.

there's a louder note on the start of the second 8 bar loop or some shit like that. means you have to allow for those 8 bars when mixing it in though...
same goes for eyez vip when you're going for the double drop - always worth it tho
absolutely love mixing work them too
i find most of mala in cuba really hard to mix with though, not sure why
also kyle hall's hyperdub 12"

I can't get Cuba electronica, it's as if it drifts in bpm slightly during the tune. I know it is do-able because I've heard plenty of other DJs do it easy. Another I have trouble with is Blawan - getting me down

Yeah the tune starts with that hi-pitched synth on second beat. Doesn't seem that hard to mix tbh,
I find Bahl fwd and Hurt the soundboy harder to mix

Just listened to it, yeah thats more like 160 dnb tempo, so maybe thats why your having a problem if your mixing it thinking its 130 lol, cant trust virtual dj with some bpms, but i think its better than traktor, my mate has got it and loads of tunes have some fucked bpm

I see a few posts about tough intros...am I the only one that can't be fucked with ambient or tough intros? lol I just find the first snare and start from there...can't stand it when a dj takes forever to cue/bring in a tune.

i prefer long blends. i'd much rather a dj took their time and got the pitch perfect than rush it and do a 10 second blend or some shit

I agree, long blends are great! Not a fan of quick blends, it's all about riding a mix out and letting it breathe.
I just hate it when a dj takes forever cueing up a track...I'm all about slam mixing and pitch riding mixes in, so that's why I usually can't be fucked with ambient intros.
