Because he is the only one who can afford a license?

Software developers: "MOAR OPTIONS AND MOAR PARAMETERS IS ALWAYS BETTER AND MAKES BETTER MOOZIK BY DEFINITION!"

Seen it happen so many times, the amount of options does not justify an increase in price, nor does it make the application superior just because it has more options. It's about usability to price ratio. I'm perfectly happy creating my drums with samples (with some processing obviously) and as far as sequencing goes, every possibility can be done by just turning "snap" off, which may take some time but is less limiting than any of these overpriced sequencing vsts...

Revisiting this:

Again, the ideas behind this app seem somewhat... interesting? I guess that's the word.

But given that the guy who made this video (who actually likes the app) admits that there's a lot of buggy unpredictability and workflow weirdness... yeah.

It's been "on sale" for $50 for the past few weeks I think.

even thats a stretch for an app.

i think things would be a bit different if that was the original price though.

Agreed. Just the whole deal with this app - from its unexplained proprietary algorithmic hoohaa (that dude in the video can't get to work consistently) to the weird sockpuppetry of the dev (see earlier about Soundcloud shilling with sockpuppets) - has been an extended lesson in how not to go about doing something like this IMO.

That said, while it is definitely on the steep side there are other music production apps successfully asking for $40 or $50 - Lemur, for example - but I think that the price tag still has to reflect its utility, quality, and uniqueness. Lemur is a MIDI/OSC control surface that can potentially do a lot of things... not so sure about this app though.

Also: if the price drops to $10 or lower I'll definitely get it. JUST BECUZ. :6:

It's now $15. :cornlol:

But it's only for iPad.

:corncry:

I would get it at this price if it was Universal. Alas...

The only reason I'd get a music production app for my phone is if it was like a 5$ basic sequencer with drums and a brass sound so when I come up with melodies or drum ideas when I'm out I can just put it in there.
