Just pretty much Biome said was completely took the wrong way.. Plus it just worries me that anything producers post on their facebooks is taken so literal and seriously.
Maybe he had a bad day and wanted to vent, we all do that! I've done it on here and on social media networks before, it's what makes us people.
I think a lot of fans/listeners/critics/whatever seem to forget sometimes that producers and DJ's and Artists in general are people too.
No disrespect to you hiricine because you were just looking to have a discussion. big ups.

In all seriousness its is just a discussion,Biome is one of many producers that people on this board look up to.If messi was to come out and slag off the way young football players played football and then started banging on about players of old doing it better wouldn't there be an uproar in the football world?

It's a tired critique. No music will sound like the music you first came to love, grew up on, or what have you sheesh Louise. Remember the days when all we had to make music was a guitar made of raw buffalo hide, 'the sound of smacking a fat lady on the butt' kick, and a boulder snare? That was REAL music.
And I agree with Lloydy. People have to be careful with what they put onto Social Networking sites. If they're just venting, remember, this is the internet. There is a difference between venting to a couple friends or some random people you just met. What they say will remain in print for years. That's why artists have to be so careful with negative feedback, more so than positive feedback.
On the other hand if Biome is sincere, it's a bit vague. What does he mean by 90's music being more interesting than today's? There is a lot of music out today. More people on earth, more people on earth making music. SO many artists and styles plus we have the web. If you don't like one 140 guy's style, find the next guy's through youtube, last.fm, Pandora, a random blog whatever.
There is so much music out today I don't think saying "I don't like today's music" is tactful or excusable. Like was mentioned before, no reason to diss current music because you're bored which seems to be the case with Biome. I love Biome's tunes. He has the talent to just go off and do something else without the drama.

I disagree with the earlier statement that when it gets too much slower it becomes downtempo - you can't say that slower stuff by Scorn or Barry Hercules' sounds like downtempo, because it's heavier and not just slower. Downtempo tends to have a different vibe that's more about chillin' and relaxing, while aggressively heavy music does NOT have that effect usually. You could say there's a certain tension that belongs to dubstep that's not a desired goal in much downtempo music... FIGHT
