Truth is no one can explain what the conscious experience is, where it comes from and what happens to it after death. Mainly because we are in it and cant see from outside of it.

What you're saying seems possible, I believed it myself at one point. But I dont really buy it anymore. Or at least it is much more complicated than that.

Who 'I' am is not exclusively inside this body and what has made me what I am is made up of things outside of myself. When I die, things change and this body wont work anymore but what 'I' am doesnt necessarily cease to exist.

either way one thing is for certain, dont be too certain.

In answer to the original question. Definetly not, the finite nature of life is what makes it worth living and making the most of. If i lived for ever I would probably just get blazed all day until the end of time because there would be no hurry to do anything.

I would be incapable of thought, thus self-reflection
and would naturally form part of any eternal incohate persistence of being
which would be indistinguishable from death to the casual observer.
So, effectively, taking the pill wouldn't change anything, just delay the inevitable.

Yeah as long as I could keep my faculties, no if I still had the frailities of a normal human body that degrades over time...altho I'd still consider it even then. Everyone you ever know dying around you like flies would be a bit depressing though..
