Did you know you can make a reese with water? Granulize that shit and re-sample.

You don't layer your finished track. You layer synths, drums, etc. while creating a track. Lets say u a kick that hits the bottom good and u wanna add some high end to it to make it sound better or more "full." You layer that kick with another kick you like that has better top end. Play the kick with the high at the same time u play the original kick. Make sure to high pass filter the kick u want for just the highs otherwise the lows of both will make it sound like a fart. Think of it like layering a cake if that helps.
