Thank you all so much! I'm going to sort out my trip this weekend, loads of great looking places mentioned here. Can't get the witch museum out of my head - looking forward to that. As I live pretty close to France I guess I won't spent too much time spotting it from the coast but I'll definitely keep it in mind.

As you intend to visit Stonehenge anyway you might as well stop off at Glastonbury, the place is like a spiritualist theme park and is plain weird, well worth a visit.

In seriousness though, Tintagel is a place pretty strongly linked with the King Arthur myth/reality/whatever. If you like cool ass sea views, ruined castles, some of the tastiest pasties going and shops that sell crystals and porcelain fairies, you should check it out.

I usually stay in St. Merryn near Harlyn Bay and Padstow, which is a pretty nice place, and if you like fish, and spending lots of money on fish, then you should go there.

If you like castles/forts/historical buildings, check out the landmark trust. I stayed in auchinleck house in Scotland a few weeks ago, it was unreal. I had great fun pretending to be a lord. Cheaper than your average hotel and you get the property to yourself for the duration of your stay.

Some of these look amazing but it's a bit too expensive for us. Talking about accomodations we're heading for some bed & breakfast in the country. According to Google they are more expensive than we thought but maybe someone here has some some secret ninja links to nice accomodations (East Sussex, Devon, Cornwall, Somerset).

EDIT: Found some nice ones via bedandbreakfast.eu but maybe there are better sites out there?

Man, all kent has is Leeds Castle (Henry the 8ths old crib) which is literally 5mins walk from my house and shitty old Dover with its white cliffs and port.
