@dubunked: I feel ya..
I'm caught up between the oldschool spooky dubstep tunes and this new melodic stuff.
@djredi2step:
- Your sig is too big..
- I wasn't serious about the old thread name.
- Chopping vocals for 15 years is plain stupid.

yeah but my whole point is that non-bro can be melodic too. melodic doesn't just mean major chords and midrange saw leads. a pitched hihat can be melodic. it's just more subtle. it's an acquired taste and it takes time to understand it.
E.g. I had to listen to Burial for a long time before I really enjoyed his music. At first I was like "mehhhhh....it's not bad but it's pretty boring," but so many people swore it was incredible, so I took their advice and listened for a while.

I only like burial because of the landscape atmospheric sounds in his tracks.

Without MK, Masters at Work or Todd Edwards there would be no MJ cole, Zed Bias, Noodles, El-B or any garage That means no DMZ skream benga or any dubstep. that means no 501 do some research and learn where the music you listen comes from

not trying to come off too strong here but you obviously have no idea who the people I mentioned are and they are so much more talented than 501. which is why I'm annoyed by the suggestion that 'Chopping vocals for 15 years is plain stupid.' They're american FFS
anyway not trying to start an argument just surprised and annoyed

Exactly the same for me, I really like it now.
Offtopic & I sound stupid:
Though, some of the ignorant tnucs that are his fans have ruined burial for me. I like the music but I hate the fact that if I didn't, I would be seen as an "idiot brohead who doesn't know shit about music and should go suck skrillex's dick".
I know I shouldn't stop me from listening, but sometimes I just get mad :/
