^couldnt agree more.

Good credit is key if u want to ever get some type of loan or mortgage. If you got the money just cough it up.

you can pretty much sack off any debt in the UK thats less than £400 as long as it's been passed off to an agency, don't answer the calls, if they doorstop you don't give any details/give vague answers that mean nothing...
They've already fucked up by paying your debt off for you (when they bought it off Wonga or whoever), you have no contract with them, as long as you never identify yourself to them it will end up not being viable to chase for so long and THEY WILL give up.

Like EH, not trying to get overly picky on this, but "having a sick time and buying cool shit" is luxury. My parents still tell stories about being at Uni in the 60s and, despite not being considered at all "poor" for the time, a night out would mean two pints for my Dad and two halves for my Mum - the idea that in order to have a "fulfilling" time at uni you have to be able to spend £50 on a night out once or twice a week just shows how far from real poverty most people actually are in this country; so far that they don't even understand what poverty is, by the sounds of it. Instead of appreciating how fortunate we are to live in a society where the worst that'll happen to a non-earning 21 year old is that he'll have to say "No, I can't afford to go out raving tonight", people seem to have developed a somewhat startling sense of entitlement.

You're human right is to food, shelter and healthcare. Everything else, you've got to make personal choices about - for everything you choose, you forgo something else just like the rest of us - if you want to spent your student life stunting, you'd better have rich parents, decide to get into debt and pay it back when you're earning or get a job, like plenty of other students have managed for time immemorial.

We've moved on from your original statement.
It's your current outlook that you have just expressed that is selfish and slightly troubling.

Well don't pay then. I don't know what advice you expected here tbh... if you're happy being a complete dick, be a complete dick. It's not as bad as insurance fraud, at least... credit ratings will at least leave you handicapped for life so the rest of us don't have to deal with your shit raising our interest rates.

Worst case you'll end up with a CCJ and won't be able to get a credit card with a reasonable APR or a mortgage until your in your 30s.

Enjoy Wonga Life. Your future wife will think you're amazing.

That does not mean using your student loan for clothes is very bright.
You're putting yourself in future debt to please your immediate needs.

Which is basically how current society works so I can't really fault you on it.

So sell weed and pay back the loan?

I really don't get what you're complaining about here. Selling weed counts as a job for me, especially if you haven't got any responsibilities. Sell weed, have money, stop thinking like a fucking child.
