so this started as an accusation that beatport was stealing ideas/samples, then it turns out the date of the sample pack is a year old, then OP says he didn't use the sample pack, now he's on anti-psychotics and some of you guys are acting as the moral nannies over the internet. mind blown

Not trying to make light of mental illness but... if I was suffering from paranoid delusions, I'd probably remind myself of that fact if I suspected people of conspiring to steal my ideas. I dunno how you can be indignant about people not fawning over OP and his mental state when he's made a few threads like this. It's not like we're going to entertain these absurd notions right? And there's not really anything we can do to help. Should we maybe spam "THEY'RE NOT OUT TO GET YOU, JUST STOP INTERNETTING AND TAKE YOUR MEDS" in every thread that he starts?

The thing about his delusions is he is most likely unable to separate them from reality and identify them as delusions. Going into that more would take more typing than I can be bothered with. Try not to think of it as him being too stupid to be sane and more that he is too broken to be sane. In fact the smarter you are the harder it is to break the delusion because they are better constructed.

So you really feel mocking him is the best solution? Pull the other one you're not that stupid. Why not spam that? Is it any harder than mocking him, you could save his life doing that one day.

its nice to have someone who's clued up on mental health in here. my dad's a psychiatrist doctor type guy(idk) so i'm always learning bits and bobs, its interesting but so depressing )-: (no pun intented)

I'm not mocking anyone or their mental illness. I just think it's a bit naive to expect an internet forum of anonymous strangers to go out of their way to investigate the mental health of every poster they encounter. I don't think it's really all that insensitive to say "Nah that sounds a bit crazy m8" in response to a thread like this. Not making a qualitative judgement about OP as a person, just calling a spade a spade. Hopefully the anti-psychotics work some magic.
