I'm certain of that, I'm only playing anyway, the words 'so bad written' just tickled me a bit
So badly written.DiegoSapiens wrote:btw how is the correct form to spell "so bad written"

But yeah, my Spanish is pretty much non-existent, I've got some books and CDs and stuff though
Manics were headlining the year I went and that was were I first heard of orbital. 99 sounds familiar, I was 13/14. I remember super furry animals and blondiemagma wrote:You didn't miss much. *edit* yes it was '99, I was asleep in the tent and woke up just as they were starting their set, decided not to bother
Yep, Super Furries were DEFINITELY on... Manics were the Saturday night headline.southstar wrote:Manics were headlining the year I went and that was were I first heard of orbital. 99 sounds familiar, I was 13/14. Actually that's a more accepted correction in the States than it is over here; you were doing perfectly until your poorly chosen and badly uncapitalised Queen reference.nowaysj wrote:magma wrote:So badly written.DiegoSapiens wrote:btw how is the correct form to spell "so bad written"So poorly written.
The queen is sitting on my lap, she confirmed.
I (poorly) tried to mark the difference in my reply - badly should be used where there's an absolute (i.e. Diego formed his sentence badly, because it was incorrect according to fixed rules), poorly is where there's more of a sliding scale or when an opinion is involved - that the bible is written poorly is an opinion, hence poorly.nowaysj wrote:Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding. I refer to my penis as 'the queen'.

There is a distinction, though, I hear, between the us/uk. But isn't badly more suitable for modifying feelings, like I feel badly about dropping her baby down the stairs? Here, you wouldn't use poorly in that sentence. Poorly is used more to evaluate performance. I produced poorly today. We'd never say, "I produced badly today." Maybe we would? There is a distinction there, in usage though. Am on hour 26, don't know why I'm so fascinated by this.
