Two memorable turns in both Boogie Nights and The Big Lebowski really put him on the map for me. I was never big on Capote, did love him in The Master though which was probably the last movie I saw him in.
Hes been an addict before, he knows what a right dose is... he probably had enough of us
RIP, easily one of the best of our time. Happiness and The Master are unforgettable
Also, guys check Before The Devil Knows You're Dead if you wanna see him playing a heroin addict. That film just got a hell of a lot more darker

He used before we secured the opium fields. Apparently junkies are just dropping dead from the unexpectedly increased purity.
Could have been just checking out.
Father of three, though. What a fucking dickhead.

Shame. Loved his character in The Big Lebowski.
Oldest looking 46 year old though. That, combined with how long he's been around, made me think he was in his 60s.

Shame, never would have guessed he was a smackhead.
Apparently he was almost done filming a new film too, proper spanner in the works.
RIP

To the people saying such a shame he was a heroin addict, without heroin i doubt he would of been so successful in the first place.

me?
I don't really know his specific case and havn't seen many things he's in but i am sure the addiction helped him to identify with the roles he played and the heroin would of helped him deal with nerves/the pressure of fame.
