so, im gonna try this meditate thing tonight

anyone give me some tips on how to think of nothing? cus im thinking of thinking im thinking of nothing which is not thinking of nothing :/

Don't think about thinking about nothing, but instead just don't focus on anything. Thoughts will come, but rather than trying to shut them out completely, which means you become more aware of them in the effort it take to eliminate them, just let them come and go as effortlessly as possible. The less you focus on thoughts as they come and go, the more you will find you actually think about nothing. The emptiness between the thoughts that come and go. The better you get at this, the longer that space becomes.

This one day - long time ago - I sat down to smoke some weed to mello out...

and after a couple of puffs...I heard these two voices in my head...

This black guy goes..."What the fuck is that?"
and then this black female goes..."That's the weed smoke."

and then they both started laughing.


So either my soul floated up to my neighbors with the weed smoke...
or
I have two black people residing in my head...

While meditating, is it necessary to hum, sing, groan, yelp or let out a guttural scream like they do in the movies?

vipassana which is probably the best technique

yep i try to do vippasana everyday, i don´t have any concentration so i think it really helps me if i can just focus 15 min in just breathing

it aint meant to be productive and id hardly call 10-20 mins ages. I just sit there comfortably counting my breathes, if i miscount then i start again, after a while everythings gone

David Lynch says some interesting things about achieving pure consciousness and massive levels of creative thought through it that I like the sound of. Also about how he learned to think on different levels and leave negativity behind.
