Even if you don't like his sets you cannot meh Jeff Mills. The premiere of the Jungle Planet
was a huge night. I don't keep up with his own output though, often too much on the minimal side for me, but the sets I've seen him play were top.

Wonder what kind of bands they'll add though.

(Diego, lot of Detroit/synth techno in the tech house top these days? :) )

I meh'd the overal update. I'd see Jeff Mills. But he's far from a dealbreaker since he plays every festival on Earth

don´t understand what you mean, but don´t get me wrong i love jeff mills but the recents sets i have heard from him were boring tech house if he sometimes plays detroit good for him

Well that's bad news. Every time I've seen him he played nothing but industrial and detroit.
Can you link me to one of those sets or something?

because you probably go to nights with a more truhed public where he can play crazier shit.
Dunno i guess boiler rooms and that things, my friends are the ones who like him and tech house

I don't think he did a boiler room set. I don't see him ever turning his back on
30 years of deep and detroit. At that point the audience adapts to you I think :)

I've heard Carl Craig doing sets more towards tech house though.

That's too bad. Times I've seen him he mostly just build up until it was time to break out
the 909  Except on the 7 hour sets.

Yeah I get what you mean with the Boiler thing. The artists Boiler Room set seems to be more popular than the music in general these days.

Another update without any shape or form of highlights. This is their worst line-up perhaps in 10 years, hoping there's some good stuff in those last 50 names...

I'm thinking industrial/dark techno (where is things like Avian, Liberation Technologies, Modern Love, In Paradisum, Raster-Noton, Delsin....), some bass music (Keysound, Night Slugs, 50 Weapons, hell even Livity Sound) and where's the stoner/doom/sludge metal/rock? And how about some screamy hardcore even?

So many aspects lacking, I see a lot of recently featured boiler room artists set that nobody really gave two fucks about, a lot of trap, the same old drum & bass (Enei should be good though)...

Still uncertain I'll be going at this point, even though I have time off work already fixed for it.

Nas, Moody, Theo Parrish are dope additions. I'd see Icicle and Trash Talk though, though I'm not particularly a fan of either.

woi first 3 are big, icciles sets ae allways fun if its not straight dnb. Dont rally care about metal in any form so its looking decent for me, especially for the price.

I am.
Was pretty unconvinced by the line-up this year at first, but looking back I think it's looking more than decent. Problem is they're not handling communication the same way they used to - previous years they would announce 20 techno names, then 20 dubstep names, then 20 metal names, etc. Now they pretty much announce 20 random names out of the blue, which makes it seem like the line-up lacks cohesion, even though it actually has some. A lot of stuff I want to see actually.

I think they feel like they were coming across as too much of a dance music festival, especially by announcing dance names in large groups, so they're trying to emphasize their 'diversity' this way.

I may go depending on what a friend does. SHe wants to go but isn't sure if she can yet. Fuck my friends. I don't think I wanna go with my roommate's friends so meh.

Announcing some hard electronic music tonight

I wonder what "hardcore techno" they're booking. DJ Producer? Theyve had Manu le Malin, Hellfish, Radium, etc before. And Hellfish and Producer played in like 2003 together. He seems like an obvious choice.
