How can something that is spiritual possibly be scientific

There is a science to spirituality and vice versa imo, the problem is that they are seen as two poles that should never meet

Science is about 'rigorous' experimentation to 'prove' theory, spirituality is about the 'essence' of a being, like Philosophy I could understand, but not science.

Oh, fuck

There is a real spate of crotchety middle agedness coming from you recently

Just because you've got your new sword wub
doesn't mean you can diss us guys who still can't quite believe.

What about taint?
I go into most situations feeling happy and positive...
and then the monkeys start to grind...
and eventually I have to leave it - because I've become vex'd
Like - I've absorbed the negativity....
I have to go have a fit somewhere to release it....
You know - "All under heaven"
and then starts the new fear....the next fear

Philosophy, the mother of all sciences?
Don't get mixed up with science and natural sciences.

Philosophy as it is today isn't hugely scientific, it's a study of arguments as opposed to a pursuit for facts.

...that superstar philosopher said...
The job of philosophy is to articulate problems..
With the thought being that a lot of problems
Are immensely complex - and sometimes obscure
The problems that arise with language alone..
Can be daunting without even reaching a concept
What is this thread about? Durf
That being said - I've read half of kode9's sonic warfare
and I disagree with most of the criticism -
where they say he's using big words and trying to sound smart...
he's not using any significant amount of jargon -
and the trying to sound smart part
is him going through the verbal gymnastics necessary
to avoid every single possible linguistic ambiguity trap -
now I do agree - that it is a bit tedious in that regard -
but expected from an academic piece.
I like the format of the book a lot..
I'm enjoying it...

I like the made up linguistics like anarchitecture & sampleadelia.
My favorite chapter in the book though is 'rhythm-analysis', It's a really powerful method of viewing time, space, music, everything really.
as though everything is vibrating, there's a universal pulse and everything, even the planets are operating in conjunction with a living, breathing, rhythmic pattern. I also love the chapter 'dub-virus', soundsystem clashes, and pirate radio. lots of valuable information in Sonic Warfare.
Have u seen dub-echos? It's a movie about dub, soul-jazz put it out.
really awesome movie, kode9 is in it too.

tbh, my point was on the methods of reaching conclusions.
And at most that says science can be spiritual. Point still stands.
