why do climate change deniers
object to being called "deniers"?

that's exactly what they are:
deniers of empirical information

whether you object or not to proposed measures
is another matter.

I believe, being realistic about humanity's comfort with comfort,
that we are best to accommodate the changes
rather than think we can ameliorate the chemical situation
i.e.
Insulate, migrate and adapt.
