I rate Born Ruffians tbh. Red, Yellow and Blue is one of my favorite albums.
Cosmogramma is probably the best sounding FlyLo album imo. Only started listening to it properly recently, but there's some good shit on that. Reset EP is good too.

This is going to be jokes for the implications, and this is really truly only my opinion cause until this thread I've never heard what anybody has had to say about him, and I've only got Body Riddle: Think he is mediocre. Mixes are pretty good. Sounds are pretty derivative, and if not derivative, well within a well established pallet. But most interesting to me is that I can imagine him producing, and I think he gets into the same place I do, like he follows interesting paths, but paths that might not be good. Like this is interesting, but I don't want to listen to it.

I think it has more to do with WHEN Warp signs artists; right after they blew up and made noise in the underground and already dipped their toes in the mainstream. Mount Kimbie was already on working on their latest album long before being signed to Warp (unless they were signed right after Crooks and Lovers and kept it quiet). FlyLo was a hyped up and household name long before Cosmogramma.
So Warp signs artists around the time that they're falling off already anyway.

and uses their sizeable apparatus to push whatever it is being made to large audiences still hooked on the idea of warp as a fresh and innovative source of tekkers.

Last Boards Of Cananada I liked on first listen. Now think a handful of bits on it are good and the rest is pretty boring.

It's no geogaddi or anything but they were never going to match that. I probably like it as much as the 3rd album

So by thst logic it gets 33% (as good as their 3rd album)
Which is 17% below a passable grade
This is a fail IMO

BoC is reaaal experimental electronica/IDM, like the Aphex Twins and Radiohead's Kid A. Pretty intelligent stuff. Not really into techno music like drum & bass, though. It's so unintelligent. I'm more into real music, like Radiohead. Though I love Daft Punk

No really, what the fuck is people's problem with him? Is it because it's popular? Is it because it's bright and melodic and not too po faced? Are people old and still convinced everything on warp should sound like 10 year old IDM albums?
