If you want your tunes to be played by the big boys you're competing with every dubstep producer out there cos guys like N-TYPE and Hatcha can get any tune they want. You said "I want these tunes to be heard" but it seems like you realise DJs aren't gonna reach for your tunes above those by Mala, Skream, Benga or the like. For example, I like Atsui (and I know you said you did it quickly), but off the top of my head I can think of 2 tunes by Cyrus (The Watcher and Red Rum) which do the same, but better. And that's only in that kind of bubbling bassline, minimal drums style, let alone all the other kinds of tunes you're competing against. You've got to justify a DJ ignoring those tunes and spending £30 to cut your tune to dub.

I'd recommend you keep working, and try to bring it something of your own to the sound that's competely unique - the Shock the Monkey is good, if a little typically "dubsteppy".

Oh, and "Atsui" is spelled wrong in hiragana in your little picture for the tune.

1. write music for yourself, tunes that you wanna hear. dont try and write to please other people too much.

2. dont take anything personally. if people aren't in your stuff, dont take it personally. if you're in it thats what matters. same way, if people are really feeling your stuff, dont take it personally. remember, as an artist you are just a medium.

3. keep on it. no matter what people say. if this is the path you choose, you must walk it with integrity. u may stumble and fall, but you need to keep walking in order to fulfil your destiny. the hill may be steep at first. but at some point it will start to level out. learning tight production takes a long time - be patient with yourself.

4. dont take it tooo seriously! dont be afraid to have fun - it will show in your music.

lol I just searched for atsui on google images and picked the first one that came up. Didnt notice it was spelled wrong!

I can read and write japanese btw (well, not really kanji)

Atsui needs to be removed though, I personally dont like it. The groove is cool, but as you say it is nothing special as many have done it better in the past.

I am working on some more outrageous bits now, maybe they will cause a storm!

HA HA HAAAAA

I remember when I put a shit tune out there for feedback (one of my earlier shit tunes, not to be confused with the shit tunes I have been making lately)

it was a dnb tune and the guy I sent it too tore me apart. I was soooooo pissed and butt hurt.

but then I took his feedback to heart and realised he had done me a favor.

wear tough skin, best advice

I have released plenty of tracks in my time, and had many torn apart. So I am used to dealing with criticism.

These are a handful of my first dubstep bits, and I am still learning (when I say that I dont just mean producing the sound, but about dubstep in general)

Ive only heard dubstep out once! and only know of a handful of dubstep tunes.

I'm a dubstep newb!

peace :)
