My uncle died from a motorbike accident so my mum doesn't want me to get one but I need a cheap way of getting about. Did my CBT today on this:

Choice was that or a fucking scooter  no brainer.

Now I need to save up and get one.
My nephew died a few years ago on a bike.

These are worse than cars imo. A friend got one a few years back and all I do when I see him now is worry about him.

Again, my nephew died 8am going to work, not driving fast, in a suburb. Fucking, only child, home schooled, his family put everything they had into him, and the arrogant prick threw it all away for nothing, for a little fun.

Used to have a similar bike there sigballs. 750 Nighthawk. But the dude I bought it from wanted it to be a Harley, ran the exhaust from 4 into 4 to 4 into 1 for super high compression. That bike seriously had guts. Hard to learn on, would just touch the throttle, and it'd throw me back, causing me to give it more throttle. Insane. And it was black with purple and magenta pinstriping on the tank. :corndance:

Would drive down the street setting off car alarms. Fucking thing overheated all the time.

Did I mention the bitches? Only thing close to the same power: puppy. You will be mid-thigh deep in asians. Until you die. Like, next year.

ive had friends get hit by cars when they were on a bmx bike or skateboarding and there lucky there alive. ive almost got hit on a longboard and walking.

i dont think cars are going to stay around much lonfer, they will probably die out.

theres cities in europe that are non car.

got hit by four or five cars at this point. fuck cars, fuck cardrivers. it's like every sensible person turns into a bloodlusty inconsiderate tnuc once they grip the steeringwheel.

in texas a lot of people drive and thats a state thats doing good but probably wont be for ever because you have to replace everything when it gets old.

cars can be kinda safe and good other reasons but they suck

id want to live in a city with weed legal no cars and with a bunch of asians.

oregon might legalize weed

driving a car is just as dangerous as driving a motorcycle. a tonne of steel going 100 kmh + isn't "safe" lol.

irresponsible drivers are just irresponsible, regardless of what they are in.

Man that is blatantly untrue, wtf I can't even believe I have to point out why? In a car you're surrounded by a bunch of metal that will absorb the impact and shield you from a direct hit. You're strapped in, won't go flying across the road when you crash, not to mention airbags?

I just looked up the rate of deaths per mile travelled in a motorcycle vs car and it's 30x as many

You can drive as responsibly as you want, that doesn't prevent other irresponsible drivers from fucking you up

this tenfold.

basically why I resorted to riding my bike fucking aggressively, always riding in the middle of the road, always steering clear of parked cars... because quite honestly, if you give a car driver the option to get you in a fucked up situation, he will take it. had to learn this the hard way. went head first through a window because some inconsiderate asshat in the front passenger seat of a BMW decided it'd be a good idea to open his door whilst waiting at a redlight. broke both my wrists.

yeah forget seatbelts, airbags, crumple zones n all that.

you're right - i cant control when people are in cars, texting/talking on the phone or to their passengers while driving. i cant control when other people aren't paying attention to the road, because they're zoned out with what they're doing. driving in a car makes it a hell of a lot easier to get distracted while driving - which obviously isn't safe for other motorists, and more importantly, pedestrians. a vehicles "safety" isn't just about the driver.

so like its like i said

you can definitely still die or get fucked up wearing your seatbelt, and when airbags are deployed

where as i've hit gravel on a bike, went FLYING off of it (wearing no protective gear) and came out unscathed. i'm not saying this is going to happen all the time, as a matter of fact i'm quite fucking lucky.

but driving in general is fucking dangerous, regardless of your vehicle. period. i wasnt making a point to underplay how dangerous a bike is - i have a bike, i know this lol - but a lot of people these days underplay the danger that comes with driving a car.
